I have traveled. I’ve lived in two countries for a significant period of time, besides the U.S., but by 2014 that number will have doubled.

In college I spent a year living in Germany, missing some American people but mostly thinking how much better everything was in Europe compared to the US of A. I recently spent two years in China, and it was there, having so much difficulty being an obvious foreigner, that I really appreciated many things about my native country. But now having lived here again for 3 years, I can again clearly see ways we need to change.

In August I’m moving to Japan. What will be better there than in the U.S.? What will I see that I think is better in the U.S.?
